About me
I was fortunate to have been born in exciting, diverse Brooklyn, New York. From a young age I was often found with a set of graphite pencils and a sketch book in hand. My education is something I received over many years. I did not get to go to a four-year college to kick-start my art career. My family was old fashioned even though it was the 70’s. So over the years I pursued art knowledge and completed an Associates Degree following with extra classes at other schools for continuing education along with being self taught. I never gave up on my dreams or myself. Sure life would get in the way, as it does for all of us, but if you are passionate about something you just have to do it to feed your soul. As I pursued my artistic side I worked as an airbrush painter on motorcycles and vans. I have continued to channel my artistic passion into my work as a professional cosmetologist.
I dedicate time in my studio drawing and painting. It has been thrilling to have had success receiving awards and showing my work through many different exhibits and galleries. Monet, Van Gogh, Dali, Picasso, Kandinsky, Gorky and others have inspired my work. I attend workshops and classes as I continue to broaden and diversify my vision.
